<p>Stephanie Higgs scored 19 points and Jessica Williams added 14 to lead Georgia Tech to a 62-43 victory over Alcorn State in the championship game of the Atlanta Marriott Northwest Holiday Invitational on Friday.</p><p>The Yellow Jackets (8-2) pulled away in the second half after Alcorn (4-3) trailed only 23-19 at halftime.</p><p>Williams also had 12 rebounds for her second career double, an effort that helped her win the Most Valuable Player award in the tournament.</p><p>LaToya Johnson led the Lady Braves with 16 points.</p><p>The Lady Braves cut Tech's lead to two points less than three minutes into the second half before the Yellow Jackets went on a 12-1 run that built a 13-point lead with 11:35 to play.</p>
