Two suspects in a February carjacking and shooting incident in Suwanee were arrested near Norcross just a day after the alleged crime.

The Gwinnett County Police Department released information Friday showing that Deaundrey Marques Everett, age 22 of Decatur, and James Steven Casey, age 18 of Bloomingdale, were arrested on February 26 following a police chase that started in the area of South Berkeley Lake Road and South Old Peachtree Road.

The initial incident reportedly happened the day before, on February 25, when the two men allegedly stole a vehicle and shot the victim. No further details on that incident were released.

Police identified the stolen vehicle using FLOCK cameras, leading to the pursuit on February 26. The pursuit ended with police performing a PIT maneuver on the vehicle, leading to a brief foot chase.

Both Everett and Casey are being held in the Gwinnett County Jail. Both men face gang charges among other criminal counts related to the case.
