GBI searches for missing Winder man accused of murder

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is searching for a Winder man accused of felony murder, aggravated assault and theft by taking.
 
Miguel Martinez, 54, is accused of killing his roommate David Wolfe, 67, of Winder.
 
According to a press release from the GBI, a landlord arrived at their property on East Broad Street to conduct a welfare check. The landlord found Wolfe deceased.
 
Officers from the Winder Police Department determined that Martinez and Wolfe had not been seen at the residence in several days. Wolfe’s vehicle was also missing.
 
Martinez has not been located, but Wolfe’s vehicle was found in another part of the country. The Winder Police Department requested assistance from the GBI on May 7.
 
Wolfe’s body was transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
