Five people in Hall County were displaced as a result of fallen trees in the area of Mud Creek Road and Old Cornelia Highway in northeastern Hall County Tuesday afternoon.

The homeowner asked the Red Cross for help with lodging for three adults and two children.

Strong storms were moving through the area at the time the damage occurred.

Hall County authorities arrived at the scene and found that several trees had fallen, damaging nearby power lines and three or four homes. The damage was mostly contained to the roofs of the houses.  Hall County Emergency Management Agency Director Casey Ramsey said it's unknown at this point if a tornado tracked through the area.

Georgia Power worked to restore power in the area and road maintenance personnel spent some time clearing debris from Mud Creek Road and Old Cornelia Highway.

A home was damaged by fallen trees.
