A section of Banks Street in Midtown Gainesville will be closed to traffic beginning today until August 28.
Banks Street between Gordon Avenue and Grove Street will shut down each day between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a press release from the City of Gainesville's Department of Water Resources.
This section will also be closed overnight tonight and tomorrow night.
City officials ask for motorists to drive carefully and watch for construction workers in the area.
