Buford woman charged with trafficking meth after traffic stop

Thanks to the combined efforts of Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) Officers and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division, nine ounces of methamphetamine has been removed off the street, and the Buford woman accused of distributing it, placed behind bars.

According to Lt. Don Scalia, 34-year-old Sandra Yisenia Martinez was arrested Wednesday following a traffic stop in Flowery Branch.

"The arrest occurred with a traffic stop in the 4000 blocks of Holland Dam Road, in Flowery Branch," he said. "MANS Task Force Officers had developed information establishing that the suspect was distributing methamphetamine and was able to make contact with her at the above location."

Inside the glove box of Martinez’s vehicle, authorities located approximately 9 ounces (256 grams) of methamphetamine packaged in two bags. Additionally $900.00 in cash was seized. 

"The approximate street value of the seized narcotics was $9,000," Scalia said.

Martinez remains lodged in the Hall County Jail on a single charge of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
