The Cherokee Bluff football team broke a 12-game losing streak with a 37-7 win over Johnson on Friday. The win also was the Bears first-ever program win.

AccessWDUN dropped by the Bluff this week to catch up with coach Tommy Jones and senior Jacob Carlson and junior Eli Little before Monday’s practice, just three days after the historic win.

The Bears exploded for 27 points and held Johnson to 193 total yards of offense, ending a 12-game losing streak and earning the program’s first-ever win.

The commitment, hard work and investment in the program are what gave the Bears the edge against Johnson and earned them the Conditioned Air Systems Gaining the Edge award.
