Dawson County’s Kaylee Sticker has the ability to take over a game.

She did just that Friday night against No. 2 seed Coahulla Creek in the first round of the Class 3A state tournament, scoring a game-high 32 points in a 71-60 win. Since the Region 7-3A tournament, the Clemson-commit is averaging 26 ppg.

And, her 32-point performance broke the school's all-time scoring record and set a new one at 1,614 points.

For those reasons, Sticker has been named this week’s Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.

We had a chance to catch up with Sticker and her coach, Steve Sweat to talk about her play this season and what to expect from the Lady Tigers in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Dawson's Kaylee Sticker drives during a game against Flowery Branch earlier this season. Sticker scored 32 points to lead the Lady Tigers past Coahulla Creek in the first round of the Class 3A tournament Friday.
