Gainesville Police Chief Jay Parrish has released a video to update the public on four recent fatal gun crimes in the city.
In the video, Chief Jay Parrish said random acts of gun violence are not the norm in Gainesville and pointed out two of the four recent shootings have been solved and suspects have been arrested.

The most recent act that made the headlines is the shooting death of Gainesville businessman Jack Hough, who was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Gainesville CVS on Park Hill Drive Thursday night.
