While few specifics are available at this time, one person had to be freed after a vehicle struck a tree outside Mt. Airy Monday morning.

Habersham County E-9-1-1 received a call at 8:14 a.m. reporting a wreck with possible entrapment on Glade Creek Parkway, according to Habersham County Emergency Services Director Chad Black. A vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree about 250 feet away at the woods line.

As of 10:15 a.m., the patient was listed in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, according to Black.
