State Representative Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) was recently appointed to serve as a member of the Georgia House Majority Caucus Deputy Whip team.

Dubnik was appointed to the post by House Majority Whip Trey Kelley (R-Cedartown).

“It’s an honor to continue to serve the people of the 29th House District. Being asked by Whip Kelley and Speaker Ralston to serve the Majority Caucus is a responsibility that I don’t take lightly,” said Rep. Dubnik.

Members of the Deputy Whip team are responsible for monitoring legislation as it moves through both chambers of the General Assembly and helping their fellow House members understand the details of bills and resolutions.

Buford's David Clark and Cumming's Marc Morris are also members of the group.

Dubnik has also been named Vice Chair of the Game, Fish & Parks and Juvenile Justice committees and will serve as a member of the Higher Education, Small Business Development and Interstate Cooperation committees, as well.
