The Gainesville Police Department has confirmed a man was shot at the Huddle House restaurant on Jesse Jewell Parkway overnight.
Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said the shooting happened around midnight.
"A male subject was shot, transported to NEGMC in unknown condition," Holbrook wrote in an email.
Investigators said more information will be released later Thursday.
