As Partnership for Drug Free Hall prepares for its next community forum on opioid abuse, spokesman Dallas Gay spent a few minutes with WDUN's Bill & Joel Morning Show on Monday, discussing the focus of this week's event.

Gay, who has been a strong advocate for control of opioids since the tragic overdose death of his grandson, said this Thursday's event will offer advice on managing pain without the use of opioids.

This forum should appeal especially to chronic pain sufferers, parents who want to minimize their children's risk of addiction, caregivers, anyone with upcoming dental or medical procedures and concerned community members, according to Gay.
