Posted 4:00PM on Thursday 17th January 2019 ( 5 years ago )

The owner of a collapsing gas station in Buford begins clearing the debris.

The AJC spoke with the city's Director of Public Safety, Dan Branch who says the owner of Wee Willy's, Irfanali Momin, "committed to take immediate action".

The city first directed Momin to clean up the mess in May of 2018.

Wee Willy's began falling into Richland Creek in the spring of 2018 and, as of January, the bathroom and cashier area dangled over the large hole.

After being cited three times, Momin was due in court tomorrow but, on Wednesday, the case got delayed.
