Ten races will make up the slate for the Southern Super Series in 2019.

Seven total race tracks in four different states will host the series, according to a schedule released by series representatives this week.

The 2019 campaign will kickoff for the sixth consecutive year with the 43rd annual running of “The Rattler” at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Alabama. The 250-lap race will be held on March 15-17 on the fourth-tenths of a mile oval.

Two weeks later, Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida will host race number two for the series on Friday, March 29. In all, the series will visit Five Flags four times. The other events will occur on June 21, July 19 and September 21. The first three races will be 125 lap events on Friday nights, with the fourth being 150 laps on a Saturday night.

The Southern Super Series will be part of two combination events in 2019 and both of them occur in the state of Tennessee. The Nashville 100 at the Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville on May 4 will be a joint venture with the ARCA / CRA Super Series and the CARS Tour Super Late Models. On June 1, the third-annual U.S. Short Track Nationals will take center stage on the high-banks of Bristol Motor Speedway, once again with the ARCA / CRA Super Series and the CARS Tour.

The Rumble by the River is scheduled on Independence Day weekend at the lightning fast Montgomery Motor Speedway in Alabama on July 6.

Crisp Motorsports Park will be part of the Southern Super Series for a third consecutive year. The Cordele, Georgia facility will host the series with the Lyle Farms 125 on Saturday, August 10.

The finale for the Southern Super Series is currently listed as a To Be Announced event slated for October 19, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks.

“We are confident 10 races will allow our teams the opportunity to experience some great racing with our series, while also being able to venture out to race some of the other great Super Late Model events in the country,” said Series Director Tim Bryant. “Our landscape includes multiple events with other series and we enjoy working with each and every one of them. We will have many more details on the season in the coming weeks.”

Lawrenceville, Georgia’s Casey Roderick won the series championship in 2018 and earned a check for $10,000 for doing so. He was awarded the championship laurels recently at the Five Flags Speedway banquet. With the Southern Super Series championship, and the Super and Pro Late Model titles at Five Flags Speedway, Roderick walked away with more than $14,000 in prize money.

In the six-year history of the Southern Super Series, nobody has become a multiple-time champion.
