North Hall cruises to win in region opener, 60-6

FLOWERY BRANCH — North Hall quickly squelched any notions on Friday night that the Trojans might be looking past Cherokee Bluff and to next week's showdown with Greater Atlanta Christian.

North Hall rang up 21 first quarter points en route to a 60-6 defeat of the Bluff in Flowery Branch, setting the stage for next week's Region 7-3A clash with the Spartans in Gainesville.

The Trojans (5-0, 1-0 Region 7-3A) tuned up with 417 yards rushing -- including 168 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on just 4 carries for Jacob Dickey. Quarterback David Seavey also rushed for 137 yards and a score on 8 carries. He also completed all 3 passes attempted for 113 yards and a touchdown.

North Hall finished with 530 total yards. The Trojans defense, meanwhile, held the Bears (0-5, 0-1) to just 138 total yards.

Daniel Jackson rushed for 2 touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass, while Drew Faulkner and Bradford Puryear also scored touchdowns as the Trojans moved to 5-0 for the first time since 2013.

Connor Boyd scored a touchdown for Cherokee Bluff in the fourth quarter.

North Hall will play host tp GAC next week.

Cherokee Bluff will play travel to Fannin County next week.
