Banks County Public Safety accepting storm relief items through Thursday

HOMER — Banks County area residents seeking to help victims of Hurricane Florence can team up with Banks County Public Safety this week to send needed items to one affected city.

Whiteville, N.C., experienced significant flooding damage as a result of former Hurricane Florence.

Officials there say only the following items are needed:

Banks County is only accepting donations of the specified items.

Items may be dropped off until Thursday, Sept. 20, with plans to try to deliver to Whiteville, N.C., on Friday, Sept. 21.
