Residents of a neighborhood in South Hall County report they have been visited by a black bear.

The bear has been spotted on more than one occasion in the Arbor Trace subdivision, which backs up to Chicopee Woods.

Wildlife experts with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said bears sometimes wander out of their natural habitats and into populated areas. They said people should never feed a bear or try to approach one. Follow this link for information on how to remain safe around bears.
