A Florida woman faces vehicular homicide and other charges in the wreck that claimed the lives of her young son and daughter in Lumpkin County Wednesday night.

Tiffany Grubb, 24, of West Palm Beach, Fla., is charged with two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, driving while license suspended or revoked, reckless driving, two counts of endangering a child under 14 years of age while DUI, two counts of safety restraint violation (under 8 years of age), and failure to maintain lane, according to Cpl. J.A. Caldwell of Georgia State Patrol Post 37 in Cumming.

At 8:26 p.m. Wednesday, troopers from Post 37 were dispatched to a one-vehicle, roll-over crash with ejections on Ga. 400 north near Whelchel Road in Lumpkin County.

In that wreck, a white 1997 Toyota 4 Runner driven by Grubb failed to maintain its lane of travel, according to Caldwell. The vehicle traveled into the median and the driver lost control. The vehicle then overturned several times, ejecting two minor children, ages 2 and 4.

Neither child was properly restrained at the time of the crash. Both 2-year-old De’Jean Dewayne Glover and 4-year-old Jah-ziyah Serenity Glover belonged to Ms. Grubb and were pronounced deceased at the crash scene, according to Caldwell.

The investigation is still ongoing by GSP Post 37 personnel and the Troop B Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT).
