For the second time this week, law enforcement officers in Jackson County are investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle at a local bus stop.

On Tuesday, a vehicle, identified as a blue car that was "possibly a Chrysler 300," pulled into a driveway on J.S. Williamson Ct. in the Nicholson area, as two children were getting off the bus, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

A black man wearing a dark suite and white woman wearing a red suit got out of the car, and apparently told the children that they were with the Department of Family and Child Services (DFACS), instructing the children to get inside the vehicle.

It happened between 4 and 5 p.m.

Adults at the residence confronted the suspects, who then left the scene.

On Tuesday morning, a suspicious vehicle was seen at a bus stop on Harris Lord Cemetery Road in the Commerce area, where a man apparently looked at a group of teenagers waiting a bus stop before pulling into a driveway.

The driver, described as a black male, followed the bus as it pulled away from the bus stop, but quickly turned in the opposite direction.

Anyone with information about the vehicles or the suspects is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. The department's anonymous tip line is (706) 367-3784.
