Man from Cumming charged with killing dog in DeKalb County

A Forsyth County man remains in the DeKalb County jail facing animal cruelty charges. 

CBS-46 reported Michael Copeland, 48, Cumming was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly throwing a small dog off the Wesley Chapel Road bridge onto I-20. 

The dog died from the fall. 

There is no word yet on whether Copeland actually owned the dog that was killed.  He is charged with felony cruelty to animals and at last check has not made bond.
