*In recognition of National Parks and Recreation month, Hall County Parks & Leisure Services is planning a month of celebration and fun events during July.  Follow Hall County Parks & Leisure on social media for two prize giveaways each week.  Items to be given away include season passes to the Splash Pad, facility rentals, sports registrations, community center memberships, and more. 

*Toccoa Mayor David AusƟn and Dahlonega Mayor Sam Norton have been appointed to the Georgia Municipal Association Board of Directors, according to a posting in the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission newsletter.

*“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will be shown on the Braselton Town Green on Saturday, July 14, at dusk. The movie is rated PG-13.  Movies on the Braselton Town Green are presented by the Braselton Visitors Bureau at no charge.  Chairs and blankets are welcome and concessions will be available at the park. For additional information, visit www.braseltonevents.com. 

*Take a free guided walking tour of downtown Cornelia Friday, July 27, at 7:00 p.m.   The guide will be a local historian.  Planned stops include Gov. Nathan Deal's favorite barber shop and the Historic Cornelia Bank Building, according to the city's latest newsletter.
