After several months on the run, a man is in the Hall County Detention Center charged with committing a rape in Oakwood.
Oakwood Police Investigator Todd Templeton told AccessWDUN Thursday, the alleged incident happened in January 2017 and warrants were taken out in October 2017 for Travis Shane Burnette.
He added the victim was familar with Burnette, who was captured recently in Pennsylvanina.
He is charged with rape, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual battery and misdemeanor sexual battery.
