A man found shot to a death at a home Wednesday in Barrow County apparently had a knife in his hand, deputies said.

Deputies responded to a home on Victron Drive in the Hoschton area, where they found Daniel Fowler, 44, lying in a driveway with a gun shot wound to his chest, said Barrow County Sheriff's Capt. Cory Almond in a statement.

Fowler was pronouced dead at the scene, and had apparently been arguing with another person prior to the shooting.

"There is a primary suspect at this time; however, the Sheriff's Office is not releasing the name at this time," said Almond.

The investigation is on-going.
