South Hall voting precinct moves to new location

Posted 6:59AM on Thursday 10th May 2018 ( 5 years ago )

Some South Hall county voters will cast ballots at a new location after a local church closed.

Roberts Voting Precinct voters will now cast their ballots at Mount Salem Baptist Church at 6152 Mt. Salem Circle in Flowery Branch.

Those voters previously visited Cross Pointe Lanier Church on Lanier Islands Parkway, however that church is now closed.

"When I spoke with the senior pastor for Cross Pointe Church's main campus in Duluth, he said the South Hall location could reopen by the end of the summer; however, we will use Mount Salem Baptist Church as the Roberts precinct for the duration of the 2018 voting cycle to avoid any confusion," said Hall County Elections Director Lori Wurtz.

Upcoming election dates are as follows:

May 22: General Primary Election
July 24: Run-off (if needed)
Nov. 6: General Election
Dec. 4: Run-off (if needed)

Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact Hall County Elections Services at 770-531-6945.
