OAKWOOD — West Hall High School Principal Scott Justus announced Tuesday that Bryan Richerson has resigned his position as head girls basketball coach for the Lady Spartans to pursue a coaching position in another school system.

"Coach Richerson has been a vital part of West Hall athletics, and the girls' basketball program for the past seven years, when our teams won back-to-back region titles (2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons), along with Elite Eight (2015-2016) and Sweet 16 (2016-2017) appearances," Justus said. "During his tenure, the Lady Spartans have been to the GHSA State Tournament three consecutive years. We will begin an immediate and thorough search to find his replacement."

Richerson called a team meeting earlier today to tell his players of his decision.
