The project that will rehabilitate the bridge over I-985 on Thompson Mill Road begins Sunday night, May 6 and continues all week, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. .
Crews will begin work each evening at 9:00 p.m. and continue until 5:00 a.m. the next morning.

The right hand lanes of the interstate will be closed, both north and southbound, during work hours.
Motorists are asked to take extra care and watch speeds in the construction area.
