UPDATE: Pedestrian critically injured in North Hall County accident

The Georgia State Patrol said no charges will be filed in a North Hall County accident that left a pedestrian with critical injuries Tuesday.

The man, who remained unidentified Wednesday morning, was walking along U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway when the accident happened at 4:50 a.m. April 24, according to a statement from Sgt. Auston Allen with the Georgia State Patrol. The man suffered critical injuries and remained hospitalized at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. 

It happened in the northbound lane near Walden Pond Road.

The driver, a 20-year-old woman, was not injured in the accident.
