The Sawnee Mountain Preserve park in Forsyth County is hosting a Spring Fling this weekend - a celebration of Earth Day and the 10th anniversary of the park.

"We'll be having free crafts, games, other activities, and workshops, Also, starting at 12:00 p.m. for the older kids and adults, we're going to have our climbing Saturday open," said Melissa Mitchell, who works at the preserve.

She said the climbing tower, zip line and tree climbing events will cost $15 per person.

She added that, "If you're coming for the Spring Fling, you should definitely take a hike up to the top of the mountain. That's the Indian seats. At the Indian seats, you can look out to the North Georgia mountains and see for miles and miles. It's a beautiful view. But if you're going to hike the trail, you'll definitely want to wear closed toe shoes.

The event takes place Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
