HOMER — Banks County Fire/EMS officials and state investigators are running into a roadblock gathering information about last month’s fire that heavily damaged a fire near Homer.
“We keep putting [arson reward] signs out and somebody goes by and steals them,” Fire/EMS Chief Steve Nichols said Monday.
The home, at 2090 Highway 441, Homer, was unoccupied at the time of the fire and sustained heavy damage.
The fire was investigated by Banks County Fire Department and the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office and the cause has been ruled arson.
A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.
