Georgia Department of Transportation crews will be out Thursday at 9 a.m. to direct traffic to newly constructed lanes on U.S. 129/Athens Highway in Hall County.
The lane shift will be from Sugar Hill Elementary School to the Hall/Jackson County line, according to GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland.
Strickland said the lane shift is part of work to widen the roadway. The more than seven mile project is scheduled for completion in 2020.
