A press release states that the child's mother, Charlamagne Francis, told law enforcement the girl attended school Friday but never returned home that afternoon.

Corporal Michele Pihera says Simone Gonzalez was last seen wearing a red shirt, jeans, and black shoes at Moore Middle School on Lawrenceville Highway. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of this child, there are two ways to report it.

You can contact the Gwinnett County Police Department detectives by calling (770) 513-5300 or you can give an anonymous tip by contacting Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers tipsters can be awarded up to $2,000 for any information that could lead to an arrest and indictment.
