OAKWOOD — The No. 2-ranked East Hall boys soccer team fended off West Hall for a 3-2 win on on Tuesday in Oakwood.
Maury Ibarra scored a goal and provided an assist, while Freddy Rebollar and Carlos Pulido each scored once for the Vikings (6-2).
Sergio Turcios also provided an assist for East Hall, while Oscar Rosas produced 8 saves in goal on the night.
Meanwhile, the West Hall girls blanked East Hall 4-0 on Tuesday.
Chela Aviles had 9 saves in goal on the night for the Lady Vikings.
Both East Hall squads play again on Friday at Fannin County. The girls game starts at 5:30 p.m., with the boys starting at 7:30.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL 1
The Lady Red Elephants (1-4, 1-1 Region 8-AAAAAA) romped to the Region 8-AAAAAA win on Tuesday in Gainesville.
Isabela Portes helped lead the offensive assault, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists in the win. Meanwhile, Amayia Lukie and Cindy Bonilla each scored 1 goal and produced 1 assist. Anna Ruiz, Alondra Fuerte and Kate Bush also notched goals, while Symone Turner added an assist.
Marlyn Blanco produced 8 saves in goal for Gainesville, and Jessica Hackney helped lead the Lady Red Elephants' defense.
Gainesville will play host to Dacula at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at City Park -- the game was moved from Friday.
