University of North Georgia men's basketball Shaquan Cantrell was named to the Peach Belt Conference Third Team All-Conference as announced by the league office ahead of this weekend's conclusion to the conference tournament.

Cantrell, a senior from Gainesville, Georgia, finished his UNG career as the school's leading scorer in the NCAA era, netting 1,477 career points as a Nighthawk. This season, he led the team in scoring with 15.8 points per game, good for seventh in the conference.

Cantrell also led the team in rebounding, pulling down 5.7 boards per game. He dished out two assists a game and shot over 46 percent from the field in his 28 games this season.

This is his second All-Conference nod, earning second team honors last season. He was named a Preseason All-Conference player prior to the start of the year.
