The Vision 2030 Public Art Committee is hosting a Block pARTy on Friday, May 11 in downtown Gainesville.

It will feature works of art for sale for under $100 to help raise awareness and support for public art in Gainesville-Hall County.

The Block pARTy will be a casual gathering in the Hunt Tower parking lot from 6–10 pm, according to a press release from the organizers.

Tickets are $30, which includes food and first beverage and can be purchased online at www.gethappybuyart.com. Live music will be provided by Homemade Pants Band, with refreshments from Downtown Drafts and the Good Food Truck.

Proceeds will be used to purchase a new piece of permanent public art for the community.

Since the inception of the Vision 2030 Public Art Committee in 2013, over 70 works of new art in Gainesville and Hall County have been created and installed.

Visit www.gethappybuyart.com for tickets and further information.
