Gainesville fire officials said fire and smoke damaged six to seven storage units early Wednesday morning.
Gainesville Fire Department Division Chief Keith Smith said crews were dispatched to the units at Dorsey Street and Airport Drive shortly after midnight.
He said the fire appears to have been accidental. No one was hurt.
"Crews remained on scene for a couple of hours ensuring all hot spots were extinguished," Smith added.
