White County will be home to Georgia's first agri-tourism brewery.

The Tantrum Brewing Company's brewery will be located on Georgia Highway 75 between Helen and Cleveland with a grand opening expected by late summer, according to the White County Chamber of Commerce.

Tantrum Brewing is the first brewery with the Georgia Department of Agriculture designation for Agri-tourism. It is also part of the Georgia Grown initiative since the hops used in the beer production will be grown on the company's farm.

The brewery will be housed in a 30-barrel, three-vessel, automated brew house inside an 8,600 square foot production facility. There will also be a 1,600 square foot tasting room in addition to an outdoor patio area where beer may be purchased.
