BUFORD – Gwinnett County authorities are looking for a pair of suspects they believe are connected to a robbery at the Sam’s Club on Buford Drive in Buford on the first of February.
According to Police Corporal Michele Pihera, "At one point one of the suspects asked to see a pair of earrings, and when the employyee brought those earrings out and held them in her hand the second suspect then decided to grab those earrimgs out of her hand and both those suspects ran out of the store."
The diamond earrings are valued at nearly $2,000 according to Pihera.
Pihera said another employee was able to get photos of the fleeing twosome. "There was another employee who thought this looked kind of suspicious, so that employee took out her camera and started taking photos of the suspects as they were fleeing."
Pihera said after leaving the store the suspects split up. Investigators have been able to discern that one suspect ran into a nearby cell phone retailer, stayed inside the business for several minutes and then exited. The other suspect went in a completely different direction.
Police describe the suspects as black males between 20 and 30 years of age. A more detailed description of the suspects is as follows:
· Suspect 1: black male, 5-05 to 5-07, 140-150 lbs., short black hair, facial hair, black hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, white Nike shoes, 20-30 years old
· Suspect 2: black male, 6-00 to 6-02, 150-180 lbs., black hair, black hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, blue underwear, 20-30 years old
