Two people suffered minor injuries as a result of a hardware store fire in Dahlonega Thursday afternoon.

Crews first got the call to C&W True Value Hardware on North Grove Street around 5 p.m., according to a Friday morning email from Lumpkin County Fire Chief David Wimpy.

The store is north of town near Camp Glisson Road.

He said responders found the building about half involved in flames.

North Grove Street was blocked for roughly four hours. Personnel had to wait for a gas company to cut service to the building after the fire was under control, according to the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office.

Wimpy didn't provide additional details on the injured parties. There's no word yet on the cause of the fire.
Flames consume C & W True Value Hardware on North Grove Street (U.S. 19 Business) at Camp Glisson Road in Dahlonega.
