All roads in Hall County have reopened following heavy rain and subsequent flooding Friday.

Belton Bridge Road near Belton Bridge Park, Cagle Mill Road, Conner Drive and Jim Hood Road in the area of West Fork Little River were all closed at one time Friday due to water over the roadways. Cagle Mill Road and Jim Hood Road both reopened Friday afternoon while Belton Bridge Road and Conner Drive reopened early Saturday.

"Smaller streams reached their peaks earlier in the day, and larger streams continued to rise later in the afternoon, which meant we were constantly having to reevaluate the conditions of area roadways," said Hall County Engineer Kevin McInturff.

Across northeast Georgia Saturday, waters were receding following almost daylong rains that sent creeks and rivers over their banks.
