A Gainesville man is facing a rape charge after an alleged assault of a woman at a party.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested Jose Alfredo Vital, 20, at a house on Joe Chandler Road Thursday.
Vital is accused of assaulting a 21-year-old woman during a party at a house on Poplar Springs Road. The alleged assault occurred on Oct. 22, 2017, according to press information released to the media Friday.
Investigators said Vital was arrested after they received results for forensic testing done by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Vital is currently being held without bond in the Hall County Detention Center.
