Gwinnett Police ID suspect in Sugar Hill credit card theft

Gwinnett County Police have identified the man who allegedly stole credit cards at a Sugar Hill fitness center and charged nearly $1,700 with them.

Joseph Robert Proctor, 38, of Chattanooga, Tenn. was captured on surveillance video Sept. 26 at the L.A. Fitness on Cumming Highway in Sugar Hill, entering a vehicle and making off with stolen credit cards that were then used at two Walmart stores in Gwinnett, according to a press statement from Gwinnett Police.

Proctor, who is wanted in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, drives a maroon 2007 Dodge Durango with a Tennessee license plat that reads: 8G4 2K7. It has a white "Costa" sticker in the back window.

He remains on the run.

Anyone with information is asked to contact law enforcement. A $2,000 reward for information leading to Proctor's arrest is available through Crime Stoppers; the anonymous tip line there is (404) 577-TIPS (8477).
