State Senator Renee Unterman of Buford and members of the state's Health Care Reform Task Force have introduced what they call a "holistic approach" to fighting drug abuse & addiction.

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle saying that Senate Bill 352 is for thousands of people who have reached out seeking answers to the opioid crisis. He says the bill seeks to focus on education, prevention, treatment and recovery.

Among its facets are: setting up a statewide education strategy to teach kids about drug addiction dangers and creating partnerships to expand access to treatment for opioid addiction. The measure would also create patient-centered insurance reforms seeking to protect those on the road to recovery.
