HOMER — The Banks County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its mission of cleaning up the Banks Crossing area.

During an undercover operation targeting pandering, 10 people were arrested at a Banks Crossing hotel on Thursday, Jan. 18, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Casey Brouwer.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to the safety and security of our community,” said Sheriff Carlton Speed. “To that end, we will continue to organize these operations to stop the illegal sex trade from calling Banks County home.”

Pandering is a sex crime in Georgia that is closely related to pimping and solicitation.

Banks County Sheriff’s Office identified those arrested as follows:

"We hope the results of this operation will stand as an example to others who would want to bring this, as well as other criminal activity, to our community," Brouwer said.
