Gwinnett County Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened on I-985 in the Buford area Friday morning.
At one point, all northbound lanes of 985 were blocked at the I-85 northbound split, according to police.
Officers first reported the incident to the media around 10:40 a.m. and had opened one lane at approximately 11:20 a.m. The remaining lane had opened by 11:50 a.m., according to the department's Twitter feed.
Police did not release any further details.
