New members to take oath at Gainesville Board of Education called meeting

The Gainesville Board of Education is slated to kick off the new year Wednesday morning with the swearing in of its two newest members.
 
Hall County Superior Court Judge C. Andrew Fuller is scheduled to administer the oath of office to Heather Ramsey and Andrew Stewart at the 8:30 a.m. meeting.
 
The board is also expected to select its officers, Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer.  Other action items on the agenda include a personnel report, middle school field lighting and high school softball field renovations, according to the agenda.
 
The called meeting is at the board office at 508 Oak Street in Gainesville. 
 
The first scheduled meeting of the new year is a combined work session and regular meeting on Tuesday, January 16 at 6 p.m.
