Investigators from North Georgia's Union County assisted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) with a South Georgia child pornography investigation.

A GBI press release issued late last week said Milton Wrenn, 57, of Moultrie was charged on Dec. 28 with 14 counts of sexual exploitation of children after images of child pornography were found on his personal computer.

"Wrenn was previously arrested on October 12, 2017, by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) for manufacturing marijuana at his home," the release read. "Wrenn’s house was searched after a multi-county investigation involving the Union County Sheriff’s Office, CCSO, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) Region 15 Office in Sylvester. The computer was seized during the investigation."

The GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit after Colquitt County deputies found the pornographic images.

At last report, Wrenn was being held at the Colquitt County Jail.

The GBI did not immediately respond to a question about why the Union County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.

Anyone with information about this case or any other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Unit at 404-270-8870.
