Plans are being finalized for the many fall festivals that take place each year across northeast Georgia, including three of the biggest and longest-running.

Two of them will be on the same weekend:  the Gainesville Jaycees' Mule Camp Market, October 6-8, and Cornelia's Big Red Apple Festival on October 7.

The weekend of October 21-22 the Dahlonega Jaycees will again sponsor the Gold Rush Days Festival.

There are many others planned in the area and you can read about them on AccessWDUN in the coming weeks.

A petting zoo is just one of the attractions each year at Mule Camp Market in Gainesville. (Undated file photo)
