COMMERCE — The East Jackson-Glynn Academy game rescheduled for Saturday night at Eagles Stadium has now been cancelled.

East Jackson coach Scott Wilkins texted Thursday that the Red Terriors could not make the trip from Brunswick as travel into and out of most of the Georgia coast area is still not being permitted.

The game will not be made up. It had originally been moved from Friday to Saturday to give Glynn Academy an extra day to work out travel arrangements.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County-Habersham Central football game scheduled for Friday night has been moved because of Hurricane Irma.

Cleanup around Habersham County and northeast Georgia prompted officials to push the game back one day.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Raider Stadium.

As of Wednesday no other games in the northeast Georgia area have cancelled or moved but AccessWDUN and Friday Game Night will keep fans updated on any new developments or changes.
