An unidentified Habersham County woman suffered serious injuries when a tree fell on her off New Liberty Road Monday afternoon.
Habersham County Sheriff's Lt. Matt Wurtz said the woman suffered "multiple, multiple broken bones and some compound fractures" in the incident.
The woman, who was standing outside a truck at the time of the incident, was taken to Habersham Medical Center, where Wurtz said medical personnel were going to stabilize her before continuing out of the county for additional care.
